One installer sets up your whole platform. You download a single file, paste your license once, and Athena installs, licenses, and configures everything for you — automatically.
Not sure about a requirement? Go ahead and start — Athena checks everything for you and tells you clearly if anything needs attention.
You only do the first three. Athena does the rest and shows you when it's done.
Your installer is on your Purchase Confirmation page and in your account. It's one small file — athena-installer.zip — that sets up your entire suite.
Download Athena InstallerVersion 0.4.4In your WordPress admin, follow this path:
Choose the athena-installer.zip file you just downloaded, click Install Now, then click Activate Plugin.
After activating, open Athena in your WordPress menu and click Begin setup. Paste your Athena Suite license key into the box and click Provision Athena.
Click Install the suite and simply watch. From here Athena runs the entire setup for you and verifies each step as it goes — you don't do any of this by hand:
Finally it verifies every service and confirms you're live. This usually takes a few minutes — you can leave the screen open and watch the checklist turn green.
When setup finishes you'll see the “You are live on Athena” screen with every step verified. That's it — your full suite is installed, licensed, connected, and working.
The most common hiccups and how to clear them.
Make sure you're uploading the file athena-installer.zip exactly as downloaded — keep it zipped, don't extract it. If WordPress says the file is too large, your host's upload limit may be set very low; contact your host or our support and we'll help you raise it.
Copy the key straight from your Purchase Confirmation page or Order History so there are no extra spaces. Use your Suite key — the one key that covers all plugins. If it still won't accept, email us and we'll check your license right away.
Athena fetches your plugins from athenaseo.ai. If a security plugin or host firewall blocks outbound connections, allow requests to athenaseo.ai and then start setup again — it picks up safely from where it left off.
You need an Administrator account, and your site needs to allow plugin installs (some managed hosts lock this down). If you don't see Plugins → Add New, ask your site owner or host to enable plugin installation, or contact us.
Athena is designed to run alongside your existing plugins and theme without touching them. If a screen doesn't load right after setup, deactivate and reactivate Athena, then reload. If anything still looks off, reach out — we'll take a quick look.
Usually just a few minutes. Downloading and activating is quick; the longest part is Discovery and building your Brain, which run in the background while you watch the checklist turn green.
Yes. The Installer is safe to run again — it detects what's already set up, skips what's done, and won't create duplicates. If setup is ever interrupted, just re-open Athena and it continues where it left off.
No. Athena is additive — it adds its own plugins and features and never edits your pages, posts, theme, or other plugins. Your existing site keeps working exactly as before.
Your license covers one site. To move it, deactivate Athena on the current site, then run the Installer on the new site and enter the same key. Need help transferring? Just email us.
Updates appear in WordPress under Plugins and Dashboard → Updates, just like any other plugin — one click to update. Your license keeps everything current automatically.
Real people, ready to get you live.
